Marius de Zayas‘ illustration, for a 1914 issue of Puck magazine, shows a three panel cartoon with Rembrandt’s painting The Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp at top, and at center, a group of angry suffragettes with knives and hatchets transforming the painting, at bottom is the resulting cubist painting, now labeled The Suffragette – Cat and Mouse
