Shook, Rattled, and 9Ever Rolled

Clue is one of my mostest favoritest movies of all time. the casting is perfection (Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, Lesley Ann Warren, Colleen Camp), and these comedic talents beyond chewed up the beautiful scenery, bringing to life cherished characters matched with the wittiest script my ears have ever heard

I remember seeing Ending B (Mrs. Peacock was a man?) with my dad at White Flint mall back in 1985. While I had only seen that one ending in a theater, I felt totally satisfied with that conclusion. My mind was forever blown at the film’s geniusnessness when it was released on VHS, with all 3 endings, presented one after another

The gimmick didn’t click with theatergoers, but became a beloved cult classic thanks to its home video version, and subsequent plays on TV. A movie based on a board game just automatically sounds like it shouldn’t work, and it did

We have sadly lost so many members of the cast, but Clue is a time capsule of awesomeness that I love solving every time I watch it. And while we’re here, my favorite combo in the game is Col Mustard with the lead pipe in the Conservatory. What’s yours?
