It is without question (and without much explanation needed) that Tom Petty AND Steve Winwood are both rAWESOME in concert. Free Fallin’??? Running Down A Dream??? Cover of the Byrds’ So You Want to Be a Rock ‘n’ Roll Star??????????????? REFUGEE?????????? HIGHER LOVE???? BRING ME A HIGHER LOVE!!!!!!! But we aren’t going to waste any more space on their stellar performances. Cause I’m here to talk about the amazingness that is MSG’s Skybridge seating area. They like skybox seats, but ANYONE can buy em. And here’s what they got – less people, less lines, endless room – room to boogie, to get up and walk around, stretch ye legs, and to boogie. SO MUCH ROOM TO BOOGIE. Normal seats are for lamewads. Skybridge seats are for AWESOMEWADDDDS!!!!! Dude, once you go skybridge, you never go any other kind of bridge EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Happiest Days of
Our Lives, In The Flesh

Roger Waters: The Wall Live
Madison Square Garden
Rocktober 5th

TEAR DOWN THE WALL!!!!!

ON SECOND THOUGHT, DON’T, EVERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!  KEEP BUILDING THEM, ROGER WATERS!!!! ON STAGE AFTER STAGE, CITY AFTER CITY, UNTIL YOUR RESTLESS 67 YEAR OLD LITTLE HEART IS TIRED OF DOING SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!  IT’S BEEN A LIFELONG DREAM TO SEE THE WALL PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY LIVE AND WHAT YOU PULLED OFF LAST NITE AT DA GARDEN WAS NOTHING SHORT OF A DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRULY AND REALLY AND SINCERELY, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU MR WATERS!!!!!!

There was no David Gilmour (guess this wasn’t that one lucky show) or Pink (he wasn’t well, he stayed back at the hotel), but Roger and the sent along surrogate band brought The Wall to life in a moist spectacular fashion (juss like he did with his Dark Side of the Moon tour, which we saw twice! but this was even more spectacular!!!), combining elements of the original 1980 tour, the 1982 Alan Parker film and some new dazzling theatrics!!!!!  It was more than just a big arena concert, and more than just an ultra-elaborate stage production that bests any piece of theater playing 8 blocks north on Broadway!!!  It was an experience like NONE OTHER, and once Mr Waters departs this earth (unless we find the cure to death soon!), there won’t be another chance to experience this, so do whatever you have to do to see this show as it tours the globe, 9REALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Price shouldn’t be a factor, cause this sh$t is PRICELESSSSSSSS$$$SSSS!!!!!!  We plan on seeing this show at least once more, if not 1383838 times more!!!  ANOTHER BESTNESS IN THE WALL PART III!!!!  COMFORTABLY FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not Another Teen Concert

I didn’t kick, I didn’t scream, but I was dragged to JT’s FutureCrazySexyCoolThingamajigs tour stop at Madison Square Garden last night, where apparently there were so many bizatches and so few men that del ladies were allowed to use our bathroom… and there was STILL a line! And after all is daid and sone, I will never let myself be dragged to a show like this ever again. While I actually do enjoy the kid’s latest album, cept for that unlistenable ‘Sexyback’ track (I still don’t get how the rest of your pleabs loves it), everything that he played that wasn’t on said album reminded me why I loathe 98% of the poop they pipe onto MTV. It was like watching a 2 hour half time show programmed by the people who choose the winners at the People’s Choice Awards. It’s not that the show wasn’t entertaining (although I was easily distracted trying to figure out who ‘Holzman’ was and why the #613 was retired in his honor), but it’s so far from my cup of tea. I’d rather be closer to a man tea bagging his nut sacks 5th ave into my mouth than drink from this white man’s R&B bs brew. The kid can dance, but he can also dress like that d-bag in Not Another Teen Movie (see above if yer too dumb to dot all the ‘t’s and cross all the ‘i’s). The mistress and I decided to beat the crowd and left before the show ended. Apparently we lost the berry rare opp to catch a live rendition of ‘Dick In A Box’, complete with Andy Samberg, Color Me Badd wardrobe, AND boxes [vid]. I never found that skit to be funny so I’m not too miffed about missing it. So if I can’t groove to ‘Sexyback’ or laff at ‘Dick In A Box’, will the People ever Choice me for one of their prestigious Awards? If so, maybe I’ll get all Sally Field and spray, ‘You choice me, you really choice me!’
